Susan, you might want to look up late tonight if you are awake. Last night was a Kp6, Europe has already seen Kp7 tonight! (Planetary K index K0-K9)

Wish I could see that kind of stuff in person! Krystee, you can! Not often I am sure. I remember seeing it here in Los Angeles area a few years ago. First time in my life, but I did see the aurora here. www.gi.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast It gives you the forecast and it looks like a Kp 7 is visible in Seattle!
