Howdy folks,
This weekend I have another special ride to lead, called the Canyon Ride or the Ridge Ride. Was out clearing trails this afternoon so I took along my camera just for fun. I spend a lot of my time and energy maintaining about 30 miles of trails here on the ranch but this particular one is the roughest and is about 5 or six miles long. Runs from the Old Great Western cattle trail at the highest point on the ranch down to our two lakes. Here are just a few pics. Thanks for looking....Mel
Top of the canyon. This ride is moderately hairy and some folks only go once *L*. I had to use a sledge hammer and bar to cut a path through the limestone to get down into this canyon that is a couple of hundred feet deep at its deepest.

Finally the lake where the trail pops out before going into another canyon. We actually ride down the face of the dirt dam.
