I have had a chunk of death plate fossil material for awhile and just took my first slab off it tonight. I went straight to the cabber just to test how the material is going to be. Very stable and takes a decent shine too. I also had a small chunk of petoskey scrap I dopped up while I was at it. not a great cab just a small scrap about 3/4" tall Petoskey thanks for looking Chuck

Really like the crinoid stems. Reminds me of the Lambert Ranch material from San Saba, Texas....Mel

could be Mel, I am sure this came in a mixed box or a trade with someone on here but I lost track a long time ago. I sure wish my memory was better and I keep telling myself to write more info down when I get new rocks.

The crinoids reminded me of Lambert ranch material but a closer look at the pink in some of your skeletal fragments points to Chinese material. No pink in the crinoid skeletons at the Lambert ranch...Mel

Gotta love the Petoskey! LOL! The crinoids are cool too. I have something similar from the Lakes that's called "Hash Stone" I think. At least that's what I bought it as. Not nearly as much in them but similar critters. Don't know if that's a help or not with it. Beautiful cabs, though!
