They are fine. The tomatoes are getting along and looking real healthy. The tomatoes are doing great! However,I gamble with planting them this early. The next 2 nights will probably be around 33 degrees, gonna be nip and tuck! No frost, the north winds will be blowing pretty good.Just have to see,may cover some with poly. snuffy

Well, our spring weather went downhill temp wise.A couple days ago,the temps were supposed to be in the high 30's at night.I watched all the weather predictions and they kept going down every hour. Then a freeze warning was put out at 11 pm.I drug out all my poly, rugs, carpet scraps ,tarps, and buckets and covered the best I could.Got through at 1 am. Got down to 28. Then last night it got down to 25.I figured my babies were goners.Ice from the heavy frost covered the poly this morning.I uncovered them, and about 80% were fine. The others had the top growth frozen.Really dodged a bullet as cold as it got.One more light frost tonight and I'm in the clear?

Yep, heck of a cold snap for a couple of days here too. Froze the new growth on my Golden Ball Lead Tree and my desert willows but most the stuff made it OK. Supposed to warm a bit now so I hope that's it for cold for the year....Mel

Cooold in Atlanta.Rough work in the aquatic nursery when it's cold. All day out there with 20 mph and high of 45.Ice this morn.Be happy Snuffy.I turn the sprinklers on to fight a late frost off.Start just before the sun starts to rise, till hour after.Good luck.

I can imagine how the hands feel. This is my 39th garden season, and only one time a blue norther blew in and froze all my plants. This was close to the 2nd. snuffy
