I lied ... one of the batches will be an odd obsidian/slag batch. Guess I just could not help myself.

I know Susan and thank you!!! ... I am really bad about letting life get in the way of everything I love doing.
Tumblers are rolling now with hard mohs and one with obsidian and slag.

Lot of fun stuff there. All looks fairly uniform and chunky - is there small stuff in there, or maybe ceramic media?

I broke up a good portion of the rough in the picture to make a mixed size batch. I did pull out the halves of the geodes as they are a pain to break up anyway. This time, I am trying to do the hard batch without media. I know that some chunky non-uniform pieces are good to keep the batch from jamming up.
The obsidian/slag has plastic as usual.
All and any input is greatly wanted and appreciated!
Thanks!!!

Hey Snuffy!!!! The tumblers have only been going about 18 hours and I'm itchy!
Guess I will go through all the cabs, fire up the Gryphon, and see how much I can get finished (need to smooth all edges on all the cabs so the cabs come out all nice and pretty) and maybe get the vibe fired up.
Sad thing is I am having to go back to my tumbling logs that I have never stopped doing to soo how to get the vibe going again. Dam .. the last time I tumbled anything (bad Julie) was July 2012.
Better later than never!

Thank You Randy!!!!! I have been going through darn near everything today and tonight and will finish tomorrow to see what I have and what I don't.
I have so many cabs and such that I have received as gifts that I am not poor for wrapping pieces.
But I still love the tumbling aspect of it all.
Now that I have started some processes, it should be easier to get back into the rest of the fun stuff.

Hey there Dad Ohs and thank you so much.
I really do love tumbling overall and do bit better each time.
So far I have developed a love for Obsidian and close second are the petrified ones. I am going through quite a bit of stuff today and putting together a petrified batch for next batch.
Thanks Again!!

I have a small but promising pile of both out in my shed, and I am just now starting to dip into the Pet wood for slabs... right after I finish a chunk of Mariposite I am slabbing for my self. Of course I am always looking to add to both of these piles too,, especially the OB as there are a lot of varieties I don't have still!!

I am going to check the obsidian barrel today and see how it is coming. The batch is very mixed of different obsidian and no cabs in this batch. I am excited about it and will keep my fingers crossed.
