Here are a few pictures of my second load. These started the same day as my first batch, but these agates were very pitted, so they spent a lot more time in the 200. They probably should have gone longer, but I was anxious to move the process along. There was a lot of gunk it the pits, so I tried putting the agates in a ultrasonic cleaner after I finished the polish stage. I know they say you aren't supposed to put agates in, but I wasn't worried about these ones if they were to crack, and as far as I can tell they came out unharmed. I was amazed how much junk came out of the pits in the cleaner! ![](http://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-qdX4r1oCx8U/UVJ0Fct9CaI/AAAAAAAAIWw/VmYpQzyq5xg/s1156/20130326_212218.jpg) ![](http://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-ygkybvBqRjU/UVJzV-eEVTI/AAAAAAAAIWQ/V2DGlyE2TFI/s1156/20130326_211412.jpg)

This is all agate collected on local rivers in the Northwest. Very pitted.. I found out that if I hit the gravel bars in the early spring a guy can find some great stuff before other people start looking too......(to cold for most)Not for this northern boy-LOL

Self collected material is pleasing. Like the colors.

Fossilman, I am going to get you and Clyde out in the boat soon to hit some of the less accessible gravel bars. We just have to figure out a day that works for all of us. My schedule is a nightmare these days!
