it's been a while since i've posted any tumbles. it's not that i stopped tumbling, more like the last 3-4 batches weren't very photo worthy. when you tumble garbage, you get shiny garbage

anyway, so, i bit the bullet, ordered some tumbling rough from Kingsley North and got some nice results.

Those look great. I have some crazy lace from the Rock Shed in the tumbler right now. I'm finding that some of it has deep pits and others are of varying hardness and undercut. I that typical for crazy lace? I bought five pounds and I think that I'm going to grind away the majority of it. Most is still in the rough stage since Christmas.

kjk: My first try on Fluorite was about 5 years ago. Pre-shaped rough with dremel then used a 3 # rotary start to finish 90-220-500-TXP polish,all with ceramic fill. Nov 6, 2024 22:06:16 GMT -5
