Last weekend April and first of May will be in Steamboat Springs and wondered if anyone know of places to hunt rocks? Have been checking on the internet and didn't come up with much in that part of the state. Any help or ideas much appreciated. Thanks

Last night had about 2" snow but all about melted now. Found a gal and her boyfriend that rockhounds in the area and may buy some Hahns Peak quartz from them and looks like he will take us hounding Friday to one of his places, can't wait. Went to Hahns Peak Tuesday but had to stop at the base because of snow and mud, just a little early in the season this year.

Steveo, sorry I missed this, yeah Hahn's peak is all I would have guessed, but I would have assumed snow and mud would have been a problem.
