Howdy folks, I have 30# of this stuff to get done so I'm afraid you all are going to get pretty bored looking at it but this is the next batch after four weeks in coarse grind. These will now go into the "ready for fine grind box" until I have ten pounds or so for the UV-10 vibe. I have the first couple of pounds running in prepolish in the UV-10 now too. Thanks for looking.....Mel The whole bunch moving forward: ![](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b377/sabre52/DSCN7312_zpsfd8ae15a.jpg) Couple of closer shots. The Sierra/Hornitos Brecciated Jasper: ![](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b377/sabre52/DSCN7314_zps32a627f8.jpg) A little from the Firefly Jasper pit: ![](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b377/sabre52/DSCN7315_zps81f02385.jpg) Couple of hunks of the small orb poppy vein: ![](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b377/sabre52/DSCN7313_zps2fbb5155.jpg) And finally, a mix of the Cosmos vein material with the adjacent darker brecciated jasper: ![](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b377/sabre52/DSCN7316_zpse96acd3b.jpg)

Not bored here! I love these rocks. If 30 lbs. is too much, I'm sure I could make some room in my tumblers to help you out.

Too much variation to get bored. Have you thought about slicing and cabbing some of the larger pieces? Looks like there`s a lot of potential in that material.
Darryl.

Hey Darryl. Yeah, I've slabbed and cabbed up quite a bit of it for my cab collection. Probably have fifty or so cabs done. Unfortunately, most my rough is way too big for my saw. I have some new Firefly Jasper cabs in the works right now. Busy time for horses right now though so I'm stuck in the preforming phase, but this batch of Firefly looks to be some of the most colorful I've slabbed. I've already cabbed a lot of the Cosmos too but the one I've only slabbed and not cabbed so far is that nice brecciated jasper. Slabbed it looks to be really solid stuff...Mel

What, no Stinky Horse-Hole Jasper? ;D
Good to see you doing a big batch of these... those jaspers you used to dig are some of the most unique materials I've seen.

*LOL* Don, the Stinky Horse Hole Jasper deposit was almost all jaspelite with just sort of blotchy red with hematite. Only a very little poppy in the pit so I only have a couple of big hunks that I've been eying for the tumbler as they're too big for the saw. Don't know who got it but I had a monster piece with some red poppies on purple hematite that I didn't move because my truck was already down on it's springs. One of these days, I'll have to whack up the SHHJ to get pieces small enough to saw or for the tumbler....Mel
