The cold weather is finally giving up the ghost. Yesterday it was a sweltering 70 degrees. I took full advantage and siced and diced some slabs. YAY!!! I have waited months to get into these slabs. Still only managed half though. The first 2 pics- I had fun marking out dozens of slabs. Needed lots of caffeine- coffee AND Coke LOL! ;D ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/marking%20out%20slabs.jpg) ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/plenty%20of%20slabs.jpg) A little more than half of what I got cut. I had some help from my son, though. ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/preforms.jpg) Awesome chrysocolla form Gerard. ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/chysocolla.jpg) This cab was, hands down, the most difficult to cab to date. The light half was hard jasper, the red half was silicated mud- probably softer than Indian Paint. Really, really tough to cab. I finished the red off with zam. It was still cutting on the last wheel. ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/mahogony%20obsidian.jpg) Zing Yang turritella ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/turritella.jpg) I gave up getting a decent pic of this. Trust me, it's from Carleton and it's awesome. ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/labradorite.jpg) This mookaite gave me so much trouble. It was a beast to polish! Nice pattern and colors, though. ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/mookaite.jpg) Interesting noreena. It took a fabulous polish. ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/noreena.jpg) Big simple picture jasper ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/picture%20jasper.jpg) super shiny tiger iron ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/4-2-13/tiger%20iron.jpg) Thanks for looking at all this. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I'm happy as clam and was itchin to share!

those are real nice cabs. I really like the one you had all the trouble with. The black line that divides the jasper from the softer material is way cool.

WOW! I wonder how the Noreena got that swirl. All are a feast for the eyes. Thanks for showing.

Those preforms will keep you busy for a while. You do great work. I have a piece of green Imperial that has the same kind of pattern as cab #2 and I had not given any thought that one half could be softer. Thanks for the warning. I learn so much reading other peoples adventures.

Great job on all, I like the Noreena the most, it is rare to find any with the orb in it.

I don't have a favorite--it keeps changing. What a great way to spend your day, creating little works of art.

It's inspiring to see all your preforms & finished cabs. Now I need to get cabbing too. Thanks for the guilt trip! Lynn
