I have a quick and possibly silly question:
Is there anything wrong with storing Lortone tumbler barrels in their lying down position while on the tumbler for a long period of time? (1 year or longer) [the tumbler will be OFF]
I'm not sure if they need to be stored in an upright position so that they don't warp?
Also, they will have ceramic media in them while they will be stored.
thanks.

If you keep the lid on it ,it should stay round with no problems ...Even with media in it....John

I just got off the phone with a tech at Lortone. They recommended storing the barrels in an upright position if you are going to store them for any significant length of time (6 months or longer).
They also recommended not storing them in a very hot environment, such as an attic in Arizona, for a long period of time (1 year or longer)

It wouldn't be a bad idea to put a little talcum powder around the lid gasket, to keep the lid from sticking to the barrel.
