i am sitting at the bar on the patio drinking beer...and picasso my aussie is sitting in his bar stool beside me...and my wife walks in the door and onto the patio and puts picassos leash on him....says they are going for a ride...no big deal im thinking....i open another beer.
about 30 minutes later...i hear door open...picasso runs onto patio and jumps up on his barstool...i fix him a drink...we back to normal...only for a while though.
i get a phone call a little later...its wifey asking what i thought about another aussie...i said no..no..no...hell no...then reminded her how much work it is to keep an aussie happy...fit..etc....she hung up on me.
a little while later..i hear the door open she walks in and onto the patio....picasso looks at me and whimpers....i turn around and wife is standing there with no expression on her face...i look down and see a leash hooked to an aussie puppy...i turn around and whimper back at picasso.
turn back around and wife has big smirky smile on her face..kinda like dont tell me no.
then she tells me how this young lady pulled up into home depot with these puppies in her truck to try and give them away instead of taking them to the pound....pure aussies...but her husband had left her and took the male and all of the papers which were in his name...so she could not register them...or afford to anyway.
when the puppies were born she did not have the money to have tails docked...and could no longer afford to feed them.
when lisa came and got picasso for a ride...she actually took him to home depot and put him in the bed of the truck and the young lady let the puppies out...lisa said picasso laid down and let the puppies play all over him...he did hit one kinda hard with his head...but only after it stepped on his begonias.
so...we got another aussie female...this will be lisa's dog...in true aussie fashion it took less than 30 minutes to teach this little girl...sit...down...and stay.
we have made the decision that she will be trained and certified as a therapy dog...kev.
