My wife is a Pinterest addict(we all have or vices) ;D ;D...She found a use for the blocks I have had sitting beside the house..We made a Garden...Apparently they are common.... here are some pics... There is tomato ,cucumber ,squash, bell pepper, strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, okra, egg plant and red onions around the edge. We have been known to kill cactus and bamboo..Black thumbs We also got a couple of cattle fence panels to do arches over the beds to give the vines somewhere to go.....I will add pics of that when we put them up.....John

That's a fine idea all right. We've got little topsoil so I have to bed most everything up. Have to haul a ton of limestone slabs to do it. You're method seems much more efficient.....Mel

after that cardboard starts to deteriorate you might have ya a bunch of worms. They love that stuff.
I live in the worm capital of the world. During a flash flood they all come out of the ground. The rock driveway has been covered with them so much that you cant even see the driveway and it over 600 ft long. Crazy to think how many of those suckers there are and they are not that far down either. Only about 18 inches or so.

Looks great but it would do no good here right now. 40% chance of snow tonight and tomorrow morning. The last snow storm hasn't quite all melted yet. I took a nap and thought I slept through summer. That green grass looks good enough to eat. Jim
