I was up in Deadhorse last week, working an extra week. It's warming up in the arctic. We broke zero a few days. Naturally my head goes to rockhounding here in Southcentral. I came home on Friday, the sun was shining, the roads were clear, and I didn't even need a jacket. I entertained thoughts of driving the 100 miles to my quartz crystal hole. I then spent the weekend in my recliner as 23" of snow fell between Saturday and Monday. God I hate this place sometimes.

I can remember every February it would dump at least 20 inches of snow over night as ghe annual nor' easter would blow though Connecticut, No School !! YAY!! As I got older it went from No School !! YAY!!, to "What do you mean you're closing the bar early !!?? It's not that bad out there!!", which was usually followed by ... "where the hell is my car... which mound is mine??", After marriage it became "Yes Dear, I'll go dig your car out of the drifts since you're on call!!" Now its.. ."dayummm it's like 80 degrees in February!!!.. I think I'm catching a cold!!" Good luck up there Geoff!!! I fell your pain.. or is that the shivers??
