Well, its been a month since my first poppy bloom opened. At its peak now, some already through, some just came up not long ago..There is some ambiguity about the legality of growing these flowers.Czech people in my area have grown these for generations and make poppyseed kolaches,a delightful pastry.Seed is sold in seed catalogs.Anyway,I love the blooms! All my gardening friends on here,PM me,if you would like to share in the beauty. These have bloomed out.I take a 5 gal bucket, and lean the seedheads over the bucket, and the poppy seed pours out, after the seedheads dry. Some still blooming These plants are about 4 feet tall Tomatoes are growing, some young poppies on the right of the row Oh yeah!! Give me a holler if interested.Look up papaver somniferum,if you would like info on this snuffy
