Stillwell trip and finds (many pix)

We arrived to Alpine Monday night and met up with Dan, Mark and Jeri at their camp. It's so great finally meeting folks for the first time that you feel you've known for years ;D Found out the plan was to head to Stillwell Tuesday morning, a trip I had not intended to do but am very glad we did. We met up with them and Deb, a really wonderful gal, and headed out.


Following Dan down the highway. Not long after I snapped this pic he ran over a huge diamond back rattle snake stretched across the road

This was the first time I was happy the wind was howling as it was 100 degrees out there! Made it feel a teensy bit cooler at least. Staying hydrated was the order of the day

We hit a couple areas and found some great stuff! Later we returned to the store, weighed in our hauls, relaxed a bit and hit the road. It was a terrific trip!!

I will definitely return to this area again some day.. so much more exploring to do. Thanks for coming along with us! ;D
