Im on a roll here with the pics... I put together a jar full of jamesp's coral. Added his business label in there. This jar I put them in is from my grandma and grandpas house in East St Louis. East St Louis use to be the place to live now its all ghetto with no tax payers so its a shit place to live and all ghetto. She had a huge garden and canned everything from it. I was the only one that drank/ate the tomato juice. She had hundreds of canned vegetables. I recently found this jar and knew right away it had to be from ol grandma because I dont have any other canning jars. Id say its at least 30-40 years old. Its a sentimental display piece to me and I display it with pride. Thanks JamesP. You picked me out some cool stuff.

Brad, when i was a kid i stayed every summer with my Grandma(Mema). She lived alone and was tougher than a ten cent steak.I worshipped her and she let me get into more trouble than you could shake a stick at.She lived on the beach on Amelia Island and so did 3 of my cousins.Me and her would go to the public pier and fish and all the men would want to date her and spoil me and invite me over to play w/visiting grand kids etc. I never stopped collecting resources out of Florida. And it started with fishing, shells and sharks teeth, tropical seeds from foreign countries, old bottles and whatever else i could find on the beach and the marshes. My uncle ran a commercial fishery after Grandad died so they lived off the land too.And i have collected seeds and cuttings(w/permit) from wetlands which led into aquatic plant bussiness and made a great living for 20 years.I could not begin to tell what i have experienced in being in the wetlands for so many years. It is another world. But i blame my Mema for the wild spirit. No one else got it.They just thought she was a mean ole bat. So i am flattered to have any gift in Grandma's sentimental jar.Damn i miss that crazy Mema

Between the out law man and the in law man that snake should fear 90 percent of Florida population. The problem is those guys only cover 10 percent of Florida.Money spent on invasive species-mostly on hydrilla and hyacinth eradication. And a bigger problem than snakes is tilapia taking over bass territory and algae eaters from pet shops. And other introduced tropical fish.Sit in Miami and watch parrots and love birds.Lizards from no telling where not including iguana. And that giant rat.I am always very careful to handle a snake there. So many highly poisionus snakes are loose that do not belong;and they will kill you much quicker that a 15 foot python that could make an old man run a 10 second 100 yard dash. I don't think there is a bounty.I think they worry about snake hunters sneaking out and and gator hunting(nite time activities). Some crazy stuff,ya know.

Love the grandma stories.
Fort myers has Nile Monitors. Okeechobee has basilisks and tegus and who knows what else.
No hunting without a permit in the everglades means no meaningful python hunting taking place.
Jim, what venomous snakes are loose?
I am not saying your wrong.
I have plenty of friends in Florida and many hunt snakes for extra money, but never a bona fide non-native venomous. What have you seen & where? Thai Cobras are a possibility from south of Miami. Despite knowledgeable hunters none found. Yet!
