I finally broke down and bought some bronze wire. I got the half round from wire-sculpture.com and the other from a lady on artfire and etsy www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/WickwireJewelry She's a wirewrapper, too. Her wire is awesome! I'm gonna do a blog post on copper versus bronze with some side by side comparisons. I like the bronze a lot and think it has a place on my shelf. It's really easy to work. Anyway, here is the piece. I gave it a patina just as I would copper. bronzite or Golden Amphibolite

Beautiful! I like bronze a lot too and I think its more gold like than brass as brass is too yellow

Bronze is perfect for your cab. I also like red brass. Looks like a tamer gold --- sort of.

That wire is perfect for your bronzite. The wrap is beautiful, and I really appreciate your providing your sources.

Great piece and love what you did with the wrap! I use the bronze from Wire Sculpture and, yes, it really does have it's place. Personally, I like it better than the copper for working but copper definitely has it's place as well. Thanks for the link!
