I've got about 7 pounds variety of small & medium sizes of Pet wood. Any advice on doing a Batch? special procedures? I've got my new Lortone 66 I could use for roughing, then use the Lot-o for finishing
thanks Dave

If it is from AZ, I'd recommend moving on to something less frustrating. I've been slowly working my way through 40# of it and can't wait to be done. Even stuff that appears solid has voids, pits and other problem spots...

Seeing that you are from Baytown I`d say it would not be bad rock to tumble at all. If it is south Texas petwood that is. Look for good colors in the rock or patterns. I know a lot of it I have found there to not have much color, but one member picks it up from rock roads and has shown us some of the most beautiful wood you can imagine. Tumble away until it is smooth with 60 grit and then follow with a 5-7 day run with 220. From there I get great results in my vibe using a 400/1000 run for 3 days, then polish. Snuffy, a member here tumbles Texas petwood constantly with super results.
