I got an unexpected text the other day, the guy who had the estate sale that I went to in March was back in town and invited me and some friend over. ;D The total haul. Some Montanas Fordite Rutile Some Moss agates A few sphere preforms Some nice Burro Creek Purples Some BIG type of Brown Moss. And a few misc. other. picasaweb.google.com/101480272333344124559/EstateSale4_26_13I left with a real BIG SMILE that day. If you are a member of the other board, ask Casey if he left with a BIG SMILE. Thanks for looking, Tim

Fine haul.In the south, you can bring beer to a yard sale.An estate sale commands respect as it is usuaully the sale of a deceased person's estate.May want to start having more yard sales to pick up more customers.

That is a great haul Tim. Sweet! Get the burro creek inside. It fades fast! Is this a preform holder, trimmer angle thingy?? I may have to make me one of those!

The guy gave me the Jig, said it was for pre-forming spheres. No matter how you place the cube in the jig you will be cutting it in half. So, after a couple beer ponder. :-) I came to the conclusion it is for cutting T-Eggs in half.

Naw. It's dual purpose. Cut the eggs in half, sure. I hadn't thought of that use. My brain is so one purpose sometimes.
But turn it, and the stone, 90 degrees and cut the corners off a cube.

Sorry Shotgunner. Not for spheres. I cannot refute a 40 year old patent. But tell me it wont work turned 90 degrees. lol.....

Yes Brian that is me and thanks for the compliment…and getting me to post. I am still smiling about the fordite score…my take was a mere 36 pounds and mostly good size pieces. Just need to figure out how Tim is going to make a sphere out of it.

Wow, that's a load and one that I bet will keep you busy for a long time! When you start cutting slabs, I might be interested in some if you sell them. Beautiful colors there!
