Those are beauties Donnie. How do you bend wire that perfect?Someone has patience and skill. What do you mean you split it if you don't mind me asking?Like sawed a heel off of a tumble???I have considered getting a trim saw and doing such-like a super thin, small blade for cutting heels off of 2 inch and smaller tumbles. But a minature chop saw where i could clamp the heck out of the tumble and accuratly chop a side/heel off by lowering the saw to the clamped rock. Ii may be a coomon practice

Wow Donnie! Wonder if I could send you some turquoise in trade for a ring for my lady friend? She is the greatest, gotta be to put up with a one legged, broke, unemployed, disabled cowboy! LMAO She was a good friend that became very special, ;-), while nursing me thru my foot surgery and subsequent recovery. Now we r sorta a item! Anyway she loves me and is pretty, smart, loves rocks, giving me a vacation this week in the mountains of NC near Spruce Pines, Gem and Mineral show there this weekend and Crabtree emerald mine too! She has a great job and can afford it, I giving her pendants I made tomoro for her bday that I made!

Thank you very much! Bill, yes I would be happy to make a ring for your lady friend in exchange for some of your gorgeous turquoise! You just need to let me know her size. Also need to know if you already have the stone you want to use or.....................you know whatever other details I need to know!

Hey thanks Donnie! I will cab a stone to use and get her size. Do you want me to send you finished cabs or backed preforms or raw chunks or a mixture of stuff and or how much? Send me a pm n we get it worked out. I have some very special stuff in turquoise right now. I found some Old Crow Springs turquoise in a batch I got from a silversmith friend in Az. He sells me grab bags of stuff that he has never looked at and I luck up now in then. I have seen very small cabs of it go for $200, you cant mistake it cause it has a nutmeg and black matrix with olive green turquoise. I definitely send you a slab of it. Its a full 1/4 inch thick and so hard its does not need backing! Shines water wet. Let me know if you want to cab it yourself or me do it. Thanks again, we get together after my vacation. Your rings are awesome

Great rings Donnie, I have yet to do a ring, or at least one I'd be able to call a ring...lol. I like the first one the best, maybe it's the stone.

I am simply amazed at the beautiful work I am seeing on this site. The rings, pendants, bracelets and so forth just boggles my mind. I want to learn this so bad. Thanks everyone for all the tutorials I am seeing. It can possibly start me on a very satisfying hobby.
