Uh... Not sure if I qualify, but in reality I never grew up. I still play with toys, legos, and I still enjoy video games, I have tantrums when I gotta come in the house/take a bath/go to bed, I prefer cartoons, and I have to be physically dragged out of toys-R-us. I think I am still in my teens...

Well, it looks like there are no kids.
I was going to consider making up a box for a kid who does not get to go on trips or buy expensive rock like some of us do.
I guess it was a good idea for a while.

I think the kids would rather play video games then want to learn something on a dumb ol' forum! Not that there aren't kids that enjoy the hobby... Like the children of some of the members. Jean

my daughter has spoken to a few on here but does not have her own account yet.... she is 9!! and a future geologist/rockhound/lapidary/dog sitter/mineralogist/numismatist/girl scout/politician !!! LOL

The reason my wife and I never had kids is she says she has her hands full with just the one big, messy kid in the house, me. I'm 65 and ain't ever gonna grow up! *L*.....Mel

Paul Sharoma's (sp) boys are involved but I have not seen him on here for a while. Drummondislandrocks has a boy that sent a tiny stone and wire tree to me that is awesome.

I was looking for a kid who does not have parents to provide material for him/her.
Sometimes on other sites I frequent, we try to get a kid who has nothing, a little something to keep him interested.

23 here! I believe this is the first time I spend time on a forum where most other users are about double my age. I think it's fantastic that there actually IS a part of the Internet that's not dominated by teens and twentysomethings.  |
