I guess this is as good a place as any for this question. I'm in need of a new shop apron. I prefer one with the catch pocket at the foot of the apron. Does anyone know where to get a good shop apron?
Thanks, Charles

Cash & Carry has aprons but I don't know if there in your area. I bought mine on amazon. I use a vinyl one. Mine doesn't have a pocket. You should be able to get one at any restaurant supply store. Matt

The pocket is a good idea. I have a vinyl apron too, but the spray from my tools runs down and it drips on my leg and on the floor.

When I first started this madness that was the only kind of apron you could find. I thought they were gret.

Smart and Final carries long chef's aprons. You could sew or pin up the bottom inch as a catch basin. I have a leather apron for metalsmithing (riogrande.com), a vinyl apron for anything that spits water, and just a full kitchen apron for everything else. Pockets are a must.
Sometimes it is not the apron that is necessary, but rather the pockets that are necessary.
I love aprons. Anything that is dropped onto my lap is caught on the apron instead of rolling onto the floor and under something.
Orchard Supply or some such hardware store carries heavy duty workman's aprons.

Check out some of these. You should be able to find what you want. I personally prefer the denim shop aprons. They will take a beating without tearing or getting holes in them. www.ebay.com/sch/Aprons-/175628/i.html

I like the waders idea. I'm 6'5" and my vinyl apron looks like a baby bib on me lol

Thanks everyone for the help. I finally found what I was looking for. Found it at Minnesota Lapidary Supply. No wonder all my google searches didn't find it. They don't sell over the net. You need to mail them an order or call them. This is the page of their catalog I found it on. lapidarysupplies.com/catalog_pages_2011/page_39.pdfDickiy, never even thought of a buty supply place. I don't have enough hair to ever get it styled. Thanks again, Charles
