Long day, long week. I'm tired but wanted to create *something*. I bought this slab last year on ebay. I thought it was really beautiful. I've been sitting on it, along with some other slabs that are really spectacular (to me, at least) Well I've not been doing much with rock lately and have been holding this slab a lot and finally had it. I'm happy with the first cab. I have another preformed and will get to it soon, but it's nice to see it done, although chopping up the slab was a little painful. Both sides of the slab The 2 preforms Finished cab

I can see why you didn't want to cut up that slab, but the cab makes it worth it. It's stunning! Very nice job and great material.

Thanks all. Toad I just cabbed one so far, did it late last night.
Rockjunquie, I figured there might be some other folks from here bidding on some of the stuff I was buying. I really favored this seller for a while and was buying up all I could from him until he changed everything to higher - priced buy it now. Now that the weather is warming here I hope to get into more of what I stockpiled when I had money to spend last year.

Nice work with fine material. I like the way you framed the pattern. It's probably less about having cut the slab, and more about ....now it's gone When you had the slab you could spend hours visualizing what you'd do with it, lol. Now you'll have to find another slab to put up on a pedestal I cut a chunk of koroit a while back I'd been drooling over for years, fantasizing how I'd work it...afraid to cut it. Now there is an empty space, and I need to find something else I'm afraid, or can't decide how to cut, lol. Sounds like you put some back ups aside. Smart T

I can see why you held on to the slab! But I like Tony W's philosophy, ALOT!
I love that material, and don't see it often. Your cab is beautiful.
