Nancie,my mentor is about to be 90 years old.Had a rock shop in Tampa FL for almost 50 years.Taught me all kinda cool stuff.I talked to him last week.He has terminal cancer and is given limited time.His wife Vivian and he have been married 67 years,she will most likely survive him.Thanks

Sorry to hear about your friend James. It's cool that he could pass onto you some of himself that can live on in a sense. The sideshow was very nice.

He has lived about as good a life as it gets.He is a happy rock person like folks on this forum.I can not imagine making such a good living having fun collecting,working and selling rock.His name is Bill Burke and sold on the rock circuit for years.

Those are awesome! One of these days I'd like to get a big tumbler to start on this enormous pile of rocks in my back yard. I'd love to have a polished rock garden

Very cool! I love the coral that shows good polyp designs and that last black and white one is gorgeous. Yep, a huge tumbler would be nice, especially for rough grind phase which seems to take me forever....Mel

Those that carry 35 pounds + 20 pounds for water and barrel just get rinsed out without removing the rocks.The coarse grind runs so long.The big tumbler crushes the 46 grit to nothing in pretty much 3 days. Nice to mass produce coarse grind stuff.
