I have been jealous watcing all your western and sothern gardens bloom while we still had snow in Ohio. Finally things are coming into bloom in Ohio. My Bleeding hearts bloom pretty early and they are just now coming out. Thanks for looking Bill

Nice healthy hearts. I have two of them but they're not even poking out yet. They bloom in June here, due to the c-change we had here this spring it will be late june. Seen my first butterfly today.

The trees are taking their time by me - at least with the leafing out, but many have been flowering already. Love the Bleeding Hearts

Thanks Snuffy Mel Don't know if they are native here but they are found commonly in any garden center. They are perennials that come back every year and are quite hardy. Bushmanbilly, I can't believe that you guys are slower to bloom than us. I feel better about ohio now. Look forward to seeing your stuff in June. Ha. Toad, Its funny how much the bloom times vary just from cincinnati to cleveland. You'll be in bloom soon Bill

Your photo made me a bit nostalgic for Virginia--they are native there, but I don't know if the pink ones are a hybrid. The native ones are white. Yours sure are pretty!

Nah, we're blooming just fine, Bill. It's the leaves that are going slow. No worries though, this has been a gorgeous Spring - especially considering that it kind of skipped us over last year.

It sucks here in KS as well, snow and everything else last week and it was the 4th time before that happened that I said this will surely be the last. I didn't say it last week. Now I have a mud garden, foot tall grass too wet to mow etc. Peach trees were in full bloom during frost and snow. I've seen them pull threw before we'll see. Haven't seen my bleeding heart come up it got clobbered in the drought last year I couldn't keep up. This week 70's and sunny(what is sunny anyway?) and tons of potential rain and storms.
Seriously considering calling the sisterinlaw in Florida and ask if they're hiring.
