I placed a fairly large order with them, and they shipped it out same day. (Well, they had shipping info the same day, I imagine USPS picked it up the following day.) I should be picking it up from the post office today. I couldn't be happier with the service...
Rachel (who helped me), was very patient, and sorted through their piles of rock to help me find exactly what I was looking for... took pictures with measurements, weights, the works. I'm very eager to get my hands on the rough and start playing with it. :-D

Jeff, would you mind posting photos when your materials arrive? It sounds like you had a good experience and I'd like to see what you purchased. Thanks!

Hi Everybody, As requested I am posting some pictures of the rocks I got. I apologize for the poor picture quality, photography isn't my strong suit. Jafar Jasper (Dry) Labradorite (Wet) Polychrome Jasper (Dry) And a bonus rock that they sent me for free (without intending to, apparently... score for me!) (Kambaba Jasper) Thanks for looking! Jefff

Thanks for posting those, Jeff. Based upon everyone's comments, I placed an small order last week (tiger iron and sarape jasper) that just came in. We're heading up to Ventura for the CFMS show so I'll post photos and my shop feedback tomorrow.

I think the summer sale looks good. I would spend about $140, but I am saving for a new fuel pump.

I'd love to buy more but, like Daniel, I've got some repair bills to cover for both my Land Cruiser and my left shoulder. Not sure what I'd do with that much tiger eye but, hey, in this hobby you can't have enought!

Best in the business. They have integrity and expertise. You may find stuff cheaper but be sure the vendor will stand behind their deal like the Gem Shop does.

So, what did you do with it Paul? The Land Cruiser, my shoulder or the tiger eye? LOL. Have to wait on the tiger eye purchase ... My LC died last July - very sad. Transmission went out and repairing a 1993 LC just wasn't in the cards (or the budget). And my shoulder's repair bills were pretty high as well. Actually, when all was said and done, 2013 was a "non-rockhounding" year. Went a few shows, including the CFMS show up in Ventura last June and some of the local clubs so we got to see some forum friends but we never got out much to do our own rockhounding. Didn't get around to doing much slabbing either. And, now that I think of it, the roller bearings on the tumblers all went at the same time. Wow ... looking back wasn't much of a hobby year. Lots of other stuff but not much on the hobby front.
