Back at the saw again yesterday. here are a few pics of what I cut....Mel I've had this fossil sitting on my table for a year or so now. Some kind of monocot bud or fruiting body. Thought it would be cool inside....Not! Just bland old stuff. Any of you fossil guys know what this is please chime in. Outside: Inside: Some very red small dot palm or sumthin: This piece looked like a squashed palm or fern root ball. Again, except for one end, all the slabs were disappointing. Shrinkie: And finally, I thought this was dino bone wood but it appears to be just inside the bark of a tree and full of beetle borings.

I'm no good for id, but a) that is cool that you have so many great options for cutting and b) that red and yellow looks great!
