It used to be that wrapping was my most therapeutic thing to do, but I have found that cabbing is even better. Real life is crazy upside down right now, so yesterday I grabbed some soft material and started to cab. I needed that immediate gratification that only a quick soft cab will give. All of the ones I did were soft and they all shine like stars. green tree agate- my first- soft and crumbly, but we got there. rhodochrosite- I just love this stuff! pinolith with a great shine K-2 jasper weird zebra stone with some orangy stringer thingies. Much prettier in person with a liquid polish. How does this soft stone shine up so well? Beautiful to work with. Thanks for looking and helping me keep distracted.

Great cabs n so shiny! What do you use as the final polish. I have cerium, sapphire powder (linde a) and zam and I just dont get a liquid shine Rockjunquie. Just got some rez belts to use with 1500 and 3000 diamond paste.

Terrific work on some really soft stones. Love the Rhodo and the pinolith. Just cabbed some of that myself.

Tela, it's what I call "falling into the stone!" When the world is upside down, I find a balance in that place! Beautiful work and keep your balance! Keep breathing!!!! Cathy

another good soft stone for that instant gratification is Dalmatian Jasper!! Grinds away quickly and takes a great polish with cerium, holy cow is even better for the polish. But then at 14000 the shine is really nice on the stone too!! Limb casts are usually soft too!!

Nice job! Especially as Pinolith doesn't shine up so easily most times. Love the K2...I'll have to add that to my mile long "must get" list, lol. T

Thanks a bunch everyone!!!
Sorry so long to respond, but I have loved checking in on everything.
Orrum- if you read this- I have a genie and went through all the diamond wheels including the outside wheel which is 14,000, I think. I want to get a pad for some diamond paste, too, but I haven't gotten to it.
