This is potted water crop for this year. They were planted this time last year. This photo was taken 10 weeks ago say FEB 1 It has been a cold cloudy 6 weeks and these lilies should be loaded w/blooms Next week will be heavy bloom increasing sales greatly.Deer, snapping turtles, beavers, muskrats, geese, ducks, racoons, fox attack constantly.Motion sensors turn on lights and loud radio.I and hear the radio from the house and see them in the lights if they want to wait for me to get there. They usually flee from the light/noise.There are a few snakes hiding in those pots. The system drains in 8 minutes leaving some confused critters.I can speed fill it from a lake above(7000 gallons in about 40 minutes).Draining and filling creates excellent nutrient exchange and benificial bacteria formation making healthy plants allowing me to give my competitors a hard time.Got about 30 varieties in white, pink, red, yellow, orange and peach. All propagated at the farm. The soil is native red clay also from the farm.I use fertilizer but the clay is full of micronutrients also and keeps the pot from floating up.Those are 8 inch pots and are heavy.I have sent out at least 1000 yards of soil in 20 years leaving flat fields to put greenhouses on. The economy going on 4 years has put so many people out of business. It is sad to see little Mom and Pop falling like flies.I have had to way cut back. The country has never been so poorly run.

By the time the season is done i am ready for long off time.I am not paid to look good(that's a good thing),i gotta work pretty hard.
