This time the 5th grade class asked me to come present about rocks. I spent an hour going over basic geology and rock id and then a massive show and tell followed by unloading about 50# of tumbled and specimen rocks.
I took a big box of "giveaways" with 1#+ jaspers, pet wood, druzy covered etc and have away almost all my tumbled stones in 1# bags and needless to say it was a huge hit.
My wife will be thrilled, I've been culling my piles a bit and this gets a lot that was too nice to just dump out of the garage.
This was all stuff I collected (I'm not giving away my trades!)
