This 30 million gallon a day spring is 3 miles from my camp in Florida. This cave has a giant room down under. Many funnel shaped depressions pepper the sorrouding forest where these rooms cave in called sink holes. The ones back in the woods are scary since water is rare over great distance and all water lovers are hanging out there www.silverglenspringscavedivingteam.com/A pic of the great room.See the diver in lower right. These are views from above(massive party). The spring hole is in the lower left in the pic.The river the boats are sitting on is the 30 million gallons per day coming out of the above mentined hole. The water is essentially virgin water and very drinkable. Can fill a small bucket w/indain pottery shards when snorkling around the boats. Some rowdy folks down there. nova383sb.com/silverglen.htm

Wow, the water is amazingly clear!! It didn't look all too big until I saw the diver, he puts it into perspective. I'll bet that water is cold!! 8mm wetsuit? I got certified in 39 degree water temp!!

39 would kill. The diver said he was hoping it would fall in and become a sink hole so it would become a safer diving paradise.

With an 8mm wetsuit it's freezing for about 5 seconds until your wetsuit fills up with water then your body heat warms it right up. Without a suit, you'd last around 15-30 minutes.

yes I see three. Two far right, count the legs/fins and one by the rockpile at 9 o'clock. OK two at the right for sure.

Definitely two on the right, and maybe one or two below and in front of them, down on the bottom? Looks like a couple of tanks, oriented the same as the two divers. And pretty sure there's one on the left as well, where the light is coming from. Unless the sinkhole is wired for lights, there should be a diver for every light source you see.

If that sinkhole was near populated area local wells would have probably drawn the water down and caused a collapse Jean.It is in the Ocala National Forest-biggest NF this side of Mississipi River. The parties are wild and from Friday till Sunday.

No Bill, most of the people come about 12 miles by boat from the town of Astor, most of that across Lake George.
I know that Astor is a drinking town with a fishing problem. So i think it is also a drinking river.

Is this image shot entirely underwater?. As in the camera is underwater? Also, is this image under the open circular area to theleft in the second image? I have seen the signs for that place a hundred times. Wish I would gone! A drinking town with a fishing problem! literally lol

The town of Astor sells that T-shirt.It is Crappie(speckled perch) capitol.2 pounders all day 3 pounders fairly common-Lake Woodruff-side branch off St Jonh's river. The De Leon Springs is 11 miles going east from the St Johns. You will end up at a hole in the ground called Deleon Spings on the far right(east).Astor in upper left.Lake George 5 more miles above Astor. The hole in the ground the a spring that formed the 11 mile path,Woodruff,Detor etc. Naugahydes sun bathing at De Leon(also called vinyls). goo.gl/maps/5Q6PtThis a view of Astor and L.George.Silver Glen Spings flows in from the left bank of the lake about 1/3 up the lake.My cabin is the point 2/3 up the left shore.Cannot see accross a lot of that lake; it is huge goo.gl/maps/OJMfa You can zoom in on this link and see only 8 boats are parked in the Glen run this minute.
