I went to a rock yard sale with tntmom and Mattatya. I should have taken a picture of the place because there were big piles of rocks to search through. I wish I could remember some of the rock IDs. I should have written them down. Here's a nice collection of blue ?? Crazy Lace: ?? Washington Jade: No clue: Maybe Chrysocolla: No clue: The guy said this purple one was something like lithium?? It is relatively soft. One guy was able to scratch it with his knife. No clue: India Green Moss: I'm hoping to eventually get a few spheres out of this material. It was definitely fun meeting up with Krystee and Matt. Justin

Great haul! I think the purple one is lepidosite, other than that, I'm clueless what your unnamed beautiful rocks are.

Thank you, Shotgunner--I suspected something was wrong, but not what.

susand24224 and Shotgunner....thanks for the ID on the purple lepidolite. Looks like Mohr 2 to 3 so pretty soft. The lepidolite spheres I saw when I did a google search looked nice. Anybody know if there are any particular health hazards working on lepidolite?

Anybody know if there are any particular health hazards working on lepidolite? It'll cure your bipolar disorder. If you ever have a worry just wear some latex gloves while working anything. Cut it wet and dont breathe the mist. You should be fine.
