We had a discussion yesterday about the spreading of bamboo. I started a clump about 35 years ago behind a large garage detached from the house.Iused to live here years back, just went and took pics. This is the entrance to the garage.Where is it now? Oh,its still there! snuffy

My folks live in PA, and they are having a difficult time with bamboo -- it's really invasive and spreading fast. Good to know rock salt will kill it. Nothing else seems to. Neighbor was burning some earlier this year -- sounded like gunshots when the fire heated up the water inside and they popped.
