I was running low on pudding stone cabs so that was my project last night. The petoskey and kona were done earlier this week. layout whole set #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 #9 #10 #11 kona dolomite petoskey stones Ok this is not a cab but it fits my michigan rock title. Got the rough from jugglerguy awhile ago and just got it done. thanks for looking Chuck

Nice set of cabs. So is puddingstone basically quartz with large jasper inclusions?

Those look great, Chuck. That whole Petoskey stone is a good one! It looks a lot like the one I just posted. I love when the white lines are really bright like that, and there's a lot of contrast.

I cut a few of the big ones but I was not really happy with the slabs and cabs so for now I think they are better polished whole.

I don't think it's a matter of whole or slabbed. I think it's whether the stone is good or not. I made some really nice cabs, and others are sort of washed out like yours. That stone you slabbed was just not as nice as the one you polished. We have lots of rocks that Bryan polished whole that do not look all that good.

Great set of cabs! And you reminded me, now that it is saw weather I need to go find the Kona Dolomite that Rob sent me and slab some of that up!!!
