1rst time Mom is 4 years old and a perfect Mom.Never barked at a human in her life until pups came along.Acts like she is going to eat visitors alive. Pups are docile, calm and confident. Some good temperaments on the way.

So darn cute! Christa wants to know if the different color collars are to tell them all apart?

Yes they are Christa. The weights ranged from 7 to 20 ounces Brian. So we are monitoring weights and making sure the two 7 oncers are getting fed.Invariably those runts have high energy even in the womb and are overpowered at the breast milk station. As soon as they are 60% of the others body weight they end up dominating and acting like cage fighters:> The colars are ready to be removed about today. The runts are mobilizing:>Doe boys better get ready.Pay back is hell!

Dang... I was guessing temporary names to keep track of the individuals. Green, Blue, Purple, Red.....
I have a tortoise named purple. A leftover from the days of 50 tortoises!
Cute dogs Jim. Please keep sharing images!

Awwww, they are so CUTE! Too bad they can't stay puppies forever. Will these guys get named with the same letter, you know, the litter letter? What is it?
Jim, did you remove any dew claws on the front? I see a red spot on the left front of the little boy not wearing a collar. My ridgeback/rottweiller mix, Timka, had just one on one of her REAR legs. If I recall, it wasn't attached to a toe, but was a little farther up her leg. It was strange... We had it taken off while she was small, so that it didn't get caught on anything down the road.
Keep up the progress reports and posting pics! Jean

They went to the vet a few days ago to get D-claws removed Jean. The vets office schedules a vacation period and all the vet girls coo over me-I mean the pups:>It's like they are counting the days for the appointment in anticipation. The vet gives us deals cause we refer all the new puppy owners to him-he loves us. They sure seem healthy. It is my time to sleep in the room with them after the difficult 10-12 days.Mama already welcomes me because i pick them up and put them close to her.Full trust.I can even carry them a distance away and she is fine. The mother's owner is in Louisiana and misses her a bunch. She owns 2 of our R.BacksThanks for asking
