Dang, I think I could live there. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globe,_Arizona Globe is the jumping off point for a huge variety of stuff. All of our recent trip and much of what Tim filled my truck with. The weather is much like here in SoCal. Hot but not consistently so. Cold, but not consistently so. Plus all the nature. Plus copper minerals everywhere. Apache tears, amethyst, purple serpentine, Tidgilite, Timothite and I am certain many more stuff I am unaware of. Anybody here live there? They even have a Walmart!!

Rock hound paradise I would think Everything really close Big city-- cool air heights They even have a rock shop, i think Went looking for it a couple of months ago but overlooked it ,I suppose
I'm planning a drive this weekend from Phoenix to Winkleman- then through Globe -back to Phoenix just to look at the geology and get lost on the some back mountainous desert roads mostly
O I live there if I could make a living double mostly

I visited there about forty years ago when my Dad and I did a rock hounding trip. Long time ago, thanks for reminding me, Scott! And I could live in AZ as well. Visited a few times on family vacations and loved it. Would probably make my home in Flagstaff.

My old buddy Rick is an old goldbug from way back when. He has tons of super-Stitious tales about the Superstition mountains. We snake hunted them back in 1986 or so.
