Naw... Good ole' Janey is just feeling her own mortality. She's 74 afterall.
Like a grandma who gives candy to children and buys nice gifts for birthdays. She's just tryin' to get into heaven.
Me? I resent her for her politics and her actions. She is a celebrity. Right or wrong, people take her words/actions seriously. Her elitist/socialist attitude effects all free people.
Forgive? She never hurt me directly. Nuthin' to forgive.
Forget? Never.

sorry and chaste 74 year old little old lady paraphrase error intentional. Chaste?? Helen you have a better vocabulary than that. Using chaste for Jane Fonda is the equivalent of using attack on the defensive actions of a beaver. chaste 1.refraining from sexual intercourse that is regarded as contrary to morality or religion; virtuous. 2.virgin. 3.not engaging in sexual relations; celibate. 4.free from obscenity; decent: chaste conversation. 5.undefiled or stainless: chaste, white snow.
Jane Fonda is far from chaste.

Well, I agree with Scott here.
But the story's still not true, so they may have made it a more juicy one, but those Republican email writers are probably outsourced Indians who can't be creative to save their lives, so keep rehashing the same tired stories.

The word Chaste here is short for and references the word 'chastened' (look that one up yourself). When reading words, you should define them in their context.

Chaste is not a short form of chastened. If it were, it would show up in it's definition. Nor does your apparent usage show up in the definition for chasten.
Chaste is indeed an olde English verb as in to chaste. The act of chastening someone. Since I do not speak olde English, I did not expect you to be either. ;D
Your use of the word chaste was as an adjective. To use chaste in the olde English sense it must be used as a verb.
Today Jim chaste Jane Fonda. The usage sounds funny and is not properly used in the modern day.
Today Jim chastened Jane... is correct.
Two possible conclusions.
You made a typographical error (no harm to take this if you'd like)
or
You purposefully meant to misuse the word chaste to describe Jane Fonda.

See how I obfuscated and re-directed this?
You do that regularly. How does it feel? ;D

Sok, arguing can mean picking nits too:P. So I accept your correction of the term, and agree I should have added an 'n' (plus 'ed') to 'chaste' as I typed it. Nevermind that you should have figured out what the word meant on your own in the context of the sentence. Feel better?

Never mind that you should have figured out what the word meant on your own in the context of the sentence. Feel better? Sorry Helen, never in a million years could I have guessed you meant another word when you used that one. In light of recent beaver talks, the word you used worked perfectly good in context. Why search further? In fact, until you mentioned it, I never even considered that she was "chastened". That was so out of my context that if you had said it directly, I probably would have read it three times to get your meaning. For future reference. I am male. That y chromosome means literal assumptions. You know this, right? ;D You have two x chromosomes. I'll let you define that yourself. hehe

2 x chromosomes means I'm smart enough to extrapolate information, not need every bit of it spelled out for me. Per your explanation, I'll try to remember to clarify better for the less imaginative and less literate gender in the future. LOL!

It is un-becoming and not reflective of your inner beauty. Take a deep breath. Have a ciggy. For now I'll take the base meaning and ignore the snark. No promises in the future. It is true though, men & women see the world thru a different filters. Some more than others. Helen the most. retracted for snarkiness.
