I have a friend in PA that found an unusual rock...Shaped like an egg(about the same size as an egg too..)...he had it tested and the guy says its Laminated Pyrite. Have any of you heard of that type of rock? He will send photos of it in a day or so,I'll post them.. Yes its for sale,he isn't a rockhound... He just wants more information on it and the value of something like that..

Here is what he said and Quote.....
" Quote...Hey Foss.... I found a "rock" here in PA. about 10 or 12 years ago. About the size of an egg. Very heavy and looks like a brain. I had it tested because at first a lot of people told me it was a non-magnetic meteorite. I ground and polished a small spot on it too to show the metallic surface. Anyway the University lab informed me that it is laminated pyrite . It is a really cool rock and I haven't seen any other examples that look like this one. I was told that it was made by volcanic action. Really wild cause no one around here even thinks about volcanos ever being here in PA. I found it laying right on top of the ground in a corn field near home while looking for arrowheads. Send me your mailing address... I'll send it to you to check out.... I want to sell it , but don't have any idea what it is worth . Between you and your rockhound friends, you guys should be able to figure out what it is worth. A VERY unusual find !"Quote...
