Looking for new sphere machine or replacement motors for my existing set up. I've had two motors die on me recently and I'm out commission. Going through withdrawals. Does anyone have any connections!? Neither I nor the guy who made my machine can find replacement motors.

I need a motor. So, if you replace your machine and it uses the 107rpm GE MIna motors I'll buy the remaining one.
Failing that, snowdog, I need a motor too! see above.

looks like your motor is 75 rpm--- the one I have is 107 so prob wouldn't work too good with one faster than the others --sorry

Check these sphere machines out: home.earthlink.net/~jmcdohsd/I haven't used one of these, nor know anyone who has. For the price im thinking why not. I ordered the plans but like I have anytime to make one of these. For no more than he's asking I may end up buying one I just haven't got around to it. While these aren't commercial grade obviously it could suit a hobbyist rather well im thinking. Pretty cool to look at none the less.

I’m really hoping someone can help me. I have tried to email /contact the man who sells these sphere making plans but his phone has since been disconnected and it seems he doesn’t check email any longer. I get no response. I notice that the site with all his machines and plans and info hasn’t been updated since 2012. I am afraid he is no longer around... If possible that someone has the plans he sold I would love to purchase them from you for the same price he sold them. Please let me know!!! Plans for these machine are sooo hard to find.

Not sure what your level of maker ability is. The machine isn't very complicated, nor very particular as to actual dimensions. Maybe start a thread for your build and ask questions there. Tag me @shotgunner and I'll help with answers and tagging other very skilled makers in the bunch.

In that same thought you don't even need the same size cups.

Some one was showing me how to repair the gear that usually fails inside the gear box, should have paid more attention. He had made heaps of spheres, knew those motors.

In that same thought you don't even need the same size cups. There have been discussions around these concepts lately. I wish to try them. Realistically, it'll never happen here. Someone should make a DC motor machine and tune the grind by RPM. Cup size is nothing but friction. All cup sizes fit all spheres. Bigger is better. For ease of operation. But one smaller one will allow one bigger one. And mama bear too. Dang. I just designed a novel machine. Sh!t I need time!
