Thanks Daniel, and everyone for your compliments. To tell the truth, I didn't see the design at first either--I was actually playing with the "sun area" to the left. Everyone did great.

Susan, congratulations for the beautiful virtual cab! Daniel, thank you for such an interesting contest. I had no time to cab last year, so this contest was a good opportunity for me to "clean the rust", at least mentally Adrian

Thanks for the contest Daniel. All entries were nice and I agree that the best won. Now I need to find something other than MSpaint to do virtual cabbing with. My PC skills not so great.

there is a free program called GIMP. It has many photoshop features. But there is some learning curve.

Youtube is a great way to get tutorials for Gimp. I have used it a lot, but since I have an old PS, I use that. My husband uses GIMP. It really is a great program and worth the investment in time to learn.

Just a shout out. I do have Birdseye slabs for all players in addition to Susan. There was a dely while I cut them, and I got tapped to do a program for the KC Sterling Guild on fold formed pendants, so I got distracted by my copper prototyes ( forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/threads/recent/60617) Sorry for the delay. But I will put these up for folks to choose - real soon. Susan goes 1st and can choose the contest slab or an alternate. After that it will be first come first serve. If I do not have you address I will PM you.

Yay! Can we have some of the pink orbital stuff you called birdseye in your copper creations:P? ?

Helen the pink orby stuff was King Cobra, the birdseye was the green serpentine. I am sure I did not call the pink orby stuff birdseye!
I'll see if I have a piece of King Cobra can bear to part with. No promise.
But there will be pieces similar to what we used for virtual cabbing.

Ok:P. I saw someone call it birdseye somewhere, so I was hopeful! LOL!

well, I found a small slab of King cobra that I can't cab because some of the "orbs" are too big. But it should make a nice display slab.
If I send you the King Cobra, then I have enough slices of birdseye rhyolite to cover everyone else w/o having to cut any in half. I will scan the other slabs tomorrow and let folks pick. I'll also scan the king cobra.

I don't want to mess up your contest... I sent you an offer for trade just for that piece via pm:). That said, if everyone was going to get smaller pieces if I get the orby piece, then I guess I'll take the orby piece for everyone else's sake... . I'll still send you a trade:).

Hey Daniel- don't worry about a slab for me. No offense, but I really don't much like the rhyolite. I was in it for the fun of it. (Not to say that I won't take one the next time. LOL!)

LOL!!! That's not what I meant. I really enjoy the game with or without a prize. When I first started cabbing, I spent a lot on a really nice bird's eye. After I cabbed one, though, I found that I really didn't like it. I think it's because the pattern tends to be so large. That's why there were so many big cabs in this one.

yes. I noticed folks went big. Still, I have a long wide piece of medium quality OJ that might make for a great contest. I'm on staycation next week, so maybe I can close out this contest and start another.

We'll be on stayca next week, too. I'm shutting down my shops for July to take a creative break. Looking forward to another contest
