Just dropping in to say hello to everyone here. I am located in Ridgecrest Ca. which is in the Mojave Desert area. I have been rockhounding for a few years now. Just recently got into the Lapidary side of things. Have an 16"/18" Highland Saw and Cabbing seting up, as well as few other pieces of equipment. It's Been a very cool learning experience so far and I look forward to lerning more. I also recently aquired a large estate lot from a 50+yr Collection/shop with about 2.5 tons of Materials. It's been Fun sorting thru all the stuff , i have only scratched the surface so far and have found some excellent pieces.

I would love to see the material you acquire. Let me know if you would like to meet up. I will bring some trade rock from local rocks in my area.

I am in Ridgecrest all the time. My wife's family is there and we visit often. Maybe we can do some hounding somtime Christopher, That sounds like a plan. Let me know when you are on town and maybe we can set something up? I have not been doing much hounding as of late(way to hot) but now the weather is cooloing down might have to get out and do a bit. I have mainly been into the Estate sale's ever since I scored the 2 ton lot. I have another one lined up as well right now. Lets just say if It happens, I might not need to hound for a good long while. Will have a hard time just going thru the material I will be getting. You will be more than welcome to sort thru it as well. I also like to prospect for gold, so if you do that let me know? I have a new Highbanker/Sluice that can process 8 tons of material an hour.

I have never prospected for gold but I would love to do that sometime. I just got back in from Arizona yesterday. I had to meet my partner out there to post some new signs I had made for our claims out there. I am into fire agates. I was out near Barstow not too long ago digging up some orange common opal. Pretty cool stuff!

Spent a lot of time at the base in China Lake
That area has a lot of fond memories. Great looking country, nice red rock canyon, loved it out there, loved the cameroderie.
