Tommy sent this beautiful lapis cab. As soon as it was out of the package, my grandson claimed dibs. He has been nagging me since that day. What he doesn't know is that I did it last night for his birthday in a few weeks. By then, maybe, just maybe, he will have forgotten about it and it will be a surprise. It's beautiful Tela as I imagined it would be in your hands. Thanks for fulfilling my one request of letting me see a picture of how it turned out.
My honey is SO proud of her beautiful necklace we created out of the other half of this small slab. She gets comments on it and tells them "Tommy sent it out for professional wrapping" :-) yup I did.

Nice work Tela! So clean looking. Do you create the curls by snipping a fully wrapped border wire below the bindings or by binding a shorter piece on each side of the stone? Not sure if that made sense but the effect is great.

He went to a dr appt and the receptionist told him a bunch of metaphysical stuff about lapis. He was really impressed by that. I'm glad I gave it to him early. He was having a bad day, so I wanted to cheer him up. It worked. |
