This plume slab ended up rather thin after I ground all the vugs, pits, sandstone, etc. from the back so I decided to make it a doublet to reinforce it by adding a slab of Basenite to the back. The material was slightly translucent so the black shows through slightly and it emphasizes the white plumes. Its ready to cab now. Too late tonight to do it and I have to get up real early in the morning to take my wife's car to the American Graffiti show in Modesto. Bob

I had delusions of coming home this evening and working on this cab but......... we went to the American Graffiti show today and....... we got there at 7 AM and it was 92 degrees and ....it kept getting hotter and hotter. I think it got to about 103 or so by the time we left at 4 PM. All I did was walk around drinking cold waters, slushies, shaved ice and such. There were over 1300 cars to look at in the heat so I'm wasted this evening. It was 106 when I got home so I collapsed in the recliner and that ended any thoughts of cabbing. A couple photos of my wife's car. Maybe tomorrow. Oh, and the GTO has 2-60 air conditioning - roll down two windows and drive 60 miles an hour. It was a 60 mile drive home. Bob
