Great work on both the cabs and the wraps. It looks like you were frustrated with the bail on the Sodalite, clever wrap on the cross, I like it.

Those are both really, really awesome! Ii LOVE the way you did the bail on the first, like those briolette beads that are so popular.

aahh yes , the bail.....First , as all artists I am reluctant to admit that my latest praise worthy piece of work came to fruition by um.......accident. lol lol I will admit though that while my overall technique is improving to some degree my pieces find their final state through the process of creation. Translation: I start whith an idea and a lot of time dont quite make it there but take advantage / make the best of "mistakes" that happen along the way. Every single one of us here does that. Hopefully as time goes on I will have to do it less and less. lol The thing about art though is that the satisfactiion found by it's audience is extraordinaryly based on notions rooted in subjectivity. I was indeed frutrated with the bail. It was supposed to be neatly wrapped in silver tone like the bottom and side bindings but it looked terrible. Then I wrapped to of my copper wrap wires tightly around it followed by spiraling the last copper wire around it like it is floating in the air. The picture does not do it justice. In real life it turned out to be a very attractive piece an looks like the way it looks was on purpose. A sign that I am becoming more skilled. Being able to make mistakes look like I meant it! lol......

Both are wonderful! I love what you did with the sodalite bail! The deep blue of the cab has a real "outer space" kind of look to it and with the wire "orbiting" the actualy bail, it just enhances that whole feeling!!! LOVE IT!!! Great job on both!!! Cathy

I am very impressed with how you wrapped the cross! I have tried and tried to come up with a good way to wrap a cross. Looks like you nailed it! Lol! I just may have to study your method and emulate your technique. I really like the clean simplicity of it.

I googled images of wire wrapped crosses...While I did not see one like mine I did notice how simply and thus elegantly many crosses have been wrapped.....so simple and wearable by a guy were the main inspirations for the cross's wrap.....in person the piece looks very nice and went over very well as a parting gift for a friend....
