actually the video is 73 minutes long and, well, that is a big investment in time.
While I am sure she did not mention the annointed one, she certainly discusses things he is either doing, trying to get done, or asking others to do. She is targeting the government and if Obama is not the government no one is. He is the president after all.
The fact he is not mentioned directly is a strawman.
Bush seems to have started it, Obama DID NOT STOP IT, therefore he is just as guilty.
Provide Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism (PATRIOT) Act of 2001 is proof Orwell is laughing in his casket.

I am 50 minutes into the movie. She uses Hitler's Reich videos to punctuate her thoughts. Naomi Wolf is a patriot. She calls the demise of free society "the closing of society" and describes step by step how this happens. Surveillance, mass arrest...... www.huffingtonpost.com/naomi-wolf/ten-steps-to-close-down-a_b_46695.htmlShe addresses all of the above in detail from a 2007 standpoint. I'd love to see her re-address it. I would add to #8 - control of the schooling of children. To indoctriniate them with socialist concepts from an early age. This is happening. Been there done that, got the kidlet asking the questions.

Here I am, Had to run out to the "farm" to mow. . .
Helen FYI, I watched it , Twice. The entire point of the post, is that Naomi wrote this book the documentary was made before Obama was in office. She was railing against Government that is out of control, which threatens the very foundation of our country. Bush was the bad guy then. I then looked to see what she has to say now that Obama's administration has clearly abused power. Much to my surprise, Naomi has taken the opposite stance from those on the left that think it is just fine that Obama has so much power, and do not have a problem with him abusing his power, as long as he is going after conservatives, The left thinks those who believe in the strict interpretation of the Constitution are borderline terrorists anyway. I disagree with Naomi on many issues, but on this I tip my hat to her as she is not a hypocrite. She is not afraid to climb to higher, common ground in the company of her political adversaries. She seems to understand something some do not. (Hint, hint)
The forward to Naomi's book, The End of America. Read, and learn. "The Founding Fathers believed that the proper goal of the State was to make men and women free to develop their faculties and to pursue virtue and wisdom. Our Constitution was built around these principles, protecting civil liberties and developing a careful system of checks and balances that protected our freedom from tyranny.Naomi Wolf's latest work, The End of America: A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, exposes how the escalation of executive power has eroded these core values and systems, limiting Congress's ability to make laws and our courts' power to interpret them-a scenario that our Founding Fathers foresaw and warned against. Wolf outlines in this citizen call to action-which is reminiscent of Thomas Paine's revered Common Sense-the real threats to our civil liberties that exist and explains how by working together we can stop the growing threat. The End of America: A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot is the centerpiece to the American Freedom Agenda, a nonpartisan organization of which Naomi Wolf is a founding board member and which asks all Americans to support a "Freedom Pledge" to support only candidates who favor restoring the pillars of American liberty. It combines a wide host of partners, united in their belief that when it comes to the Constitution, we are neither conservative nor liberal; we are all Americans."
I did see her on a TV show a couple days back, rest assured, she is fired up.

Life with Big Brother: Rand Paul: Orwell's '1984' has arrived www.care2.com/c2c/groups/disc.html?gpp=29551&pst=1711716. . ."It has generated opposition ranging from former Al Gore consultant Naomi Wolf to Ronald Reagan Justice Department official Bruce Fein. Under the law adopted by Democrats, “Journalists aren’t safe. Union leaders aren’t safe. Activists aren’t safe, Liberty is not safe,” said Wolf, an author of half a dozen books."

You know, I find myself asking what atrocity is next with this administration. Now Obama's EPA admits they colluded with lefty environment groups and illegally provided them private information on 80,000 farmers and ranchers. This interests me because we ourselves are cattle ranchers and my whole career I've worked with farmers and ranchers who were often harassed or even vandalized by gulldanged greenies. So now the Obama gang gives out these farmers' and ranchers' personal info to the same folks who are often guilty of this harassment.
The EPA has , like the IRS, admitted to the wrongdoing and says they've asked for all the info back from the greenies. Like that's gonna help after they already have it. We need to fire everyone one of these aholes including Obama as now they are messing with our food supply. Interestingly enough, pretty near every farmer and rancher I know is, guess what? Republican of course. What are the greeenie weenies? Democrats of course. Once again we see this administration engaging in targeting of those it does not like and colluding with those it does like. This one has congress people on both sides of the aisle pissed off. We really need to have as stop put to this kind of BS folks. Remember that come next election time....Mel

It seems common for politicians to speak out of both sides of their mouth while talking out their asses too. Nothing new here. She is simply career building. She is the same as you. You will come out and say something is bad but then support Obama, who continues to do the same bad acts as Bush, only in my opinion worse. Does not make either of you wrong on some points. Being right on those points doesn't make anyone perfect. She's just trying to make a living.

I have no idea what you just said. I speak out of both sides of my mouth while talking out my ass where? Examples.
I have never not supported Obama. There's nothing not to like.

I never heard of Naomi Wolf before you guys mentioned it here so I don't have much of an opinion on what she has said in the past. I would be curious as to what she thinks about Hillary and Obama now that we know exactly how corrupt, driven by political ideology, and incompetent they are.
That would be interesting, as lets face it, the Obama who got up on the podium and lied his ass off to get elected and re-elected was a pandering political construct telling everyone what they wanted to hear to get their votes. The Obama we got after the votes were counted tramples on the constitution and thinks his ideology needs to be furthered at any cost. He sees us as his subjects, children under his care to be told what to do and to be punished by his various abusive government attack dogs, like the IRS and EPA, if they disobey or disagree with his political mindset. And oddly enough, those who thought of GW as a fascist are now faced with an Obama who has doubled down on the very same crap he used to complained about before he was elected.
Now that, I'd like to hear this Wolf gal talk about. Cause like Ricky used to say " You've got some splaining to do Lucy"....Mel

My take? You are now continuing to try to make this a left right issue. As always with you, If a person (me) agrees with someone (Naomi) on an issue, you immediatly try to infer that I am armpit to azzh0le with that person on every belief they have. As I clearly stated above, I disagree with Naomi on many issues. She, being a democrat sided with Obama after Ron Paul dropped out. As a democrat, she likely felt he would be better. Now, she sees that he is not the person they had hoped for. 2. I read Al- Jazeera, Russia today, Der Spiegel etc. . . Are you implying Muslims should should be shunned from the world media? Heck, AlGore sold Current to them,. Qatar (our allies) who own Al Jazeera, hope to launch an American-based network, and they were interviewing for same. From your article. Naomi Wolf described her relationship with The Guardian in glowing terms: "It's wonderful," she said. "I love The Guardian and Al Jazeera English. I think they're both doing some of the best journalism out there. It's notable and kind of sad that non-U.S. based news sites are able to run pieces of mine that don't as easily find a home in American publications." "As an American who cares about civil liberties, it's good for all of us that the Guardian and Al Jazeera are doing the work they're doing," she said. "It is good for civil society in America." Naomi practices a principle called linear thinking, you might try it sometime.

I have no idea what you just said. I speak out of both sides of my mouth while talking out my ass where? Examples. You would not agree, nor did you recognize when I described it in my post that you responded to. But our fellow audience will certainly understand. Exactly. Earlier you were against government spying, or the IRS scandal, or whatever, but you support Obama despite his being complicit in those actions. Either you like government spying or you do not. Cannot have it both ways.

Examples: I agree with some of her views, others not so much. She understands that if we do not have freedom, neither side is free to effect change.

You have been nearly as virulently anti-Obama as the rest here, in about as knee-jerk a fashion... to my complete befuddlement. Further, while you personally didn't seem as knee-jerk anti-muslim/racist as some of the rest, you don't strike me as an 'all men are equal' type either. I was just curious, that's all.

Exactly. Earlier you were against government spying, or the IRS scandal, or whatever, but you support Obama despite his being complicit in those actions. Either you like government spying or you do not. Cannot have it both ways. Obama is Commander in Chief. The US has always had a vast covert operations network. There is not a member of the US Government, with no exceptions whatsoever, that can even attempt to compromise/change this system without at the very least a forced resignation, and at the worst, imprisonment. That's just the way it is. Anyone who wants to change that cannot do it directly. I believe that Obama is trying to change it, but there's no way for even him to do it directly. If you understood the history of US Justice/Foreign Policy/Covert Action you'd have already known that, but I accept that you don't. It's pretty hard to have functional discussions on a subject with people who do not know the background. Comparable to being told that someone was trying to build a house, and because it wasn't built a week later, they must have lied about building a house there. Or worse, because the land had to be DUG UP first instead of BUILT UP to put in a foundation, that must prove they are never going to build a house. I can't really respond to that, nor do I have the years it would take to go over all of US history and the significance of the changes happening today. I'm starting to think I should stop positing altogether on politics... BECAUSE I don't have the time to teach, and BECAUSE without the background knowledge there's simply no way to explain. And frankly Scott, I don't like you. So I don't feel like teaching you anything at all. Shrug.
