Well, yesterday I finally got the chance to take them to the Department of Senior Affairs Advisory Council meeting and hand them out.... They were bowled over! The pendants were a BIG hit.... As it is against the law to give gifts to them I told them they were to be considered on loan till I asked for them back, and that I wasn't planning on doing that for at least the next 99 years.. <grin>.
Now all the ladies and a few men know exactly what a cabochon is, and what a little bit of lapidary does. Hopefully, the current lapidary and a new one (hopefully) will continue to have their good will!.
Thanks Diane! They were amazed by the wire work and the fact that no two were alike...
Now if only I could get my fumble fingers to do wire wrap like that... guess I need to find some books and start reading the how tos and etc!
