Well, I finally took them out. As i had many different hardnesess in the same batch, I divided them into four bowls: 1. As good as theyr'e gonna get 2. back to pre polish 3. back to stage 2 4. Back up and punt
The quartz ar really pretty. Rose, smokey and (I know I'm gonna spell this wrong) rutillated. And green. The clear looks like ice cubes! don't have a digital camera or scanner so use your imagination. They'll be prettier that way! Saphires and rubies showing promise, They are in bowl 4 (punt).

That's pretty good, my rubies are in bowl five (trash). I just use mine now to throw in with a rough grind when I have rock that is "extra" rough and I need the big chunks of grit (rubies?) to help speed the process.

Well, ok, the saphires are showing more promise than the rubies...one is definetly going to have a star. Quartz from my yard is next. I'm happy and have learned so much, it will just get better ;D cookie
