hello everybody. I am new at all of this. I work in the body modification industry (piercing, branding, etc) I am interested in learning to make stone plugs. I'm not sure where to begin so any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, Larry. I'm not sure what "stone plugs" are but I'm sure one of the artists can help around here. I'm more into the collecting side of things vs. the jewelry/cabbing side. Love seeing people's work, though. Where were you fishing in that photo? Looks like a great time.

Thanks for the help. Yes I am wanting to make stone plugs for ear lobes and what not. The fishing pic was taken in Newport Beach Ca. That is the one thing I miss about Ca is the fishing.

When I was stationed in Spokane I carried my trout rod and gear in my car. Lots of small lakes with trout. A long way to salt water though. Welcome to the forum. Hate to sound like the old guy but what do people do after they grow out of shocking the older generation with the hideous holes in their ears? We all wore the same hippy clothes (to be non-conformists?), grew our hair long, and beards if we could. Nothing permanent thankfully. Unless it is the lack of short term memory. Unless it is the lack of short term memory.

Yes Johnjsgems the trout fishing is great up here! i Also do alot of Burbot fishing in the winter. I hate to be one to judge the people I work on as far as long term plans with stretched ears but I also do lobe reconstruction when they want to join the rest of us. It is something most people don't think of (the future) i remember being 19 and bulletproof and was gonna live forever! Now I get junk mail from the AARP.
