This is Norris Lake about 40 minutes north of Orlando Florida. I am not sure what caused the oversize buttress bottoms on these large 'bonsaied' cypress. Most likely the water level was elevated by organic matter blown by prevailing NE wind and cluttered the outflow on the southeast corner of the lake. This lake is 1.5 miles across and round. Chris is holding a channel catfish caught on live minnows. He is native to immediate area. Please excuse the last photo; it appears he has a cramp in his middle finger. By the way Pat, these photos were taken with a very beat up TMZ Panasonic that is 8 years old. Slide show: www.flickr.com/photos/67205364@N06/sets/72157634355118791/show/with/9150435193/

Beautiful!!!! I love cypress trees. Here in Va Bch, we have a park with lots of them. I don't think I've seen any as beautiful as these, though.

They go a bit more north than I thought. Is that above or below Mason? Those are dwarfed-crazy in real time.
